CURRENT JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Kestrel Corporation has recently received an award for the development of a unique data acquisition system solution. Succseful applicants for positions supporting this effort will be involved with Concept Exploration, System Design, and final T&E for this innovative system at the Corporate Facilities in Albuquerque, NM.

We anticipate several openings, at the BS, MS, and PhD levels in Program Management, Optics, Engineering and/or Physics.

Program Manager: Kestrel Corporation is seeking a Program Manager to ensure that projects are brought in on schedule, on budget and that all deliverable and reporting requirements for the contract(s) are met. We have several active programs in house and many opportunities before us. The successful candidate will be involved in all programs, helping to develop project schedules, costing, resource allocation, resource utilization and ensuring that all programs run according to plan.

Mechanical Engineer: experienced in designing and building the mechanical portion of advanced optical systems. Working with our senior scientific and engineering staff, the primary duties of the successful candidate will be designing the mechanics of advanced optical systems, specifying COTS and custom components, ordering and procuring parts, and assembling, aligning and testing the systems.

RF/Electrical Engineer: experienced in the design, build, test and characterize high reliability RF systems up to 110 GHz. Systems include signal generation and antennae. Preferred initial designs rely heavily on commercially available components including signal generators, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency conversion circuits, etc. Expertise modeling and designing various RF feeds such as dish antenna, horns and slotlines is required. This is primarily a “hands-on” position.

Laboratory Technician: experienced in the performance of laboratory tests producing reliable and precise data in support of scientific investigations, including the acquisition of spectroscopic data.

  • Bachelor’s degree or significant progress toward in related field (Chemistry, Physics, Engineering).

    The ideal candidate should be: highly motivated; with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; the ability to multi-task work assignments; along with a strong interest in product development in support of business development strategies. The candidate will have to be able to rely on his/her experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and will need the ability to work with limited work direction while performing a variety of complicated tasks. A DoD Clearance with recent SSBI a plus for all positions.

    Special operations may require work during non-standard periods.

    US Citizenship or Current Permanent US Resident Status required for the position.
